"Tori Spelling, who is five months pregnant with her first child, says she's a little tired, but feeling good. The first three months I had every textbook symptom, but now I'm starting to adjust.
The actress also tells TV's Extra, in an interview airing Friday night, that she and husband Dean McDermott don't know the sex of their baby. We do want to know, she says. As soon as I get back from here (Vancouver, where she is filming a guest spot on the CW's Smallville), we have our ultrasound.
Spelling, 33, also says that if the baby is a boy, she'll give him the middle name Aaron, after her late father, legendary TV producer Aaron Spelling: Yes, if it's a boy we're making his middle name Aaron. If it's a girl, her middle name will be my husband's mother, who passed away.
The actress, who has had a strained relationship with her own mother, Candy, says, I want to be a loving mom. I want to be a mom who listens. I want to be a cool mom. I just want to have a great relationship with my child and have a great family dynamic.
She and McDermott wed in Fiji in May. On their nine-day honeymoon on the island, McDermott told PEOPLE, we're going to make a baby. Added Spelling, He likes to play hockey, so we're going to make a hockey team.
The child will be Spelling's first; McDermott has a son, Jack, 8, and a 1-year-old daughter with his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace."
