"Rap superstar The Game was busted for impersonating a cop in midtown Manhattan shortly after he performed at a taping of CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman," police sources said yesterday.
The 26-year-old former crack dealer hopped into a livery cab with two pals about 11:30 p.m. Thursday and told the driver he was an undercover cop, the sources said.
The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, ordered the unsuspecting driver to hit the gas and speed through several stoplights, the sources said.
When the real police saw the Lincoln Town Car speeding dangerously through traffic, they stopped the cab at Sixth Ave. and W. 43rd St.
The hack, Muhammed Butt, told the cops that his car had been commandeered by one of their fellow Finest in the back seat. And when the officers questioned The Game, he allegedly kept up the charade."
He's a former crack dealer, what do you expect? You can take the rapper out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the rapper, you know what I'm sayin'?
I'm just wondering what the rush was...was he late for a deal or something, lol.
