Cassidy, a Philadelphia-area rapper famous for his song "Hotel" was critically injured in a car accident in New Jersey on Wednesday.
"He was the only one that suffered critical injuries," Cassidy's rep siad. "[He suffered] a fractured skull and broken bones on the left side of his face."
The rapper was leaving New Jersey and was en route to a NYC recording studio when a U-Haul truck swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed into his SUV.
The four other passengers in the SUV were uninjured. Cassidy is being held at a hospital, which is unknown, in the New York City area.
This isn't the first time Cassidy has been in trouble. In June 2005 he was arrested and charged with murdering a 22-year-old man named Desmond Hawkins in a shootout behind his Philadelphia row house.
