Paris and Shanna Get into a Bar Fight
October 4th 2006 13:17
Paris Hilton and Shanna Moakler were involved in an altercation last night at Hyde nightclub in Los Angeles.
You may remember Shanna as Travis Barker's estranged wife. Since the filming wrapped on the last season of Meet the Barkers, Travis and Paris have been linked. It's been speculated that Travis was tapping Paris before the separation. Did Paris Hilton break up the Barkers?
At any rate, Paris' publicist alleges that Shanna came at Paris yelling profanities and hit her in the jaw. The two women both went to the LAPD police station, where they both filed reports of attacks.
Paris' ex-boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos, was also at Hyde. Shanna Moakler filed a complaint against him as well, saying that he poured a drink on her head.
Shanna has had previous relationships with Oscar de La Hoya (with whom she has a child), Billy Idol and Dennis Quaid.
Paris has had previous relationships with all of West Hollywood.

I always had this hunch that this girl was destined for Hollywood even when we were kids. She exhumed this charisma that set her apart from the pre-teen masses. She's got a cool pack of brothers who never let her down and always taught her to stand up for herself and others no matter who attempts to drag you down with them.
As kids, I got to know Shanna before the world-wide-web had a chance to challenge assumptions. Let it be said, Shanna is a dear friend to have on your team. Once upon a time on February 12, 1989, Shanna became my greatest advocate. I learned the value of a true friend.
And so it goes, there once skated a girl who had decided to make a joke out of my skating ordinals saying that I'd never make the final cut after I skated my freestyle competition. I clearly knew the girl was a drama trauma and in order to make herself feel better about her own sub-par performance, she made fun of other skaters to compensate for her lack of self-confidence.
And so it continues, I happened to be this girl's skating victim du jour. I skated well, took a couple of spills on the floor, but eventually recovered by telling myself that it's only a skating meet, not the end of the world. When you grow up in the world of a skating kid, you think everything you do, everything people say about your performance, somehow holds even the most trivial of weight upon your future, no matter how ridiculous the matter itself may seem at the time. At 13, I was a vulnerable kid trying to be good at something I enjoyed doing. And now, at 30, I know that wisdom has certainly followed age.
At age 13, Shanna did something brave that most 13 year old girls don't dare to do. She told the girl who was making fun of me at that very moment that it wasn't nice to hurt other people's feelings. She told this girl to think about how it would feel if someone was making fun of her. Just like that, I gained respect and admiration for someone other than myself. I had just made a friend out of a life-changing, pre-teen moment.
Although I was fuming inside when this bologna-head-girl humilated me in front of all the other people vyeing to read the judge's ordinals posted to the cement wall, it was Shanna's protective comment on my side that gave me comfort. I learned that no matter how many foolish moves people make to plow you down in life, always fight for the justice of self-preservation. To this day, I am a firm believer in karmic reciprocity.
My guessumption is this: If Shanna did indeed use her knuckle power to knock another party girl off her pedistal, it seems like there just MAY HAVE BEEN a reason for provocation.
Something also tells me that if this twit-shipping-heir-trust-fund-troglodyte did indeed push Shanna down a flight of stairs, bending her writs and pouring his girlie cosmo drink over Shanna's head, Mr. N is going to be paying out of his trust fund gills sooner than he can ship kalamata olives to Tunisia.
Just another intuitive hunch.
