Mel Gibson Denies Drinking

October 8th 2006 23:20
Contrary to previous reports, Mel Gibson said he was not downing beers the other day.

Mel's publicist Alan Nierob says that any reports of his drinking are "absolutely untrue."

After Gibson's famous drinking binge at Moonshadows in Malibu and subsequent DUI arrest and anti-Jewish tired, Nierob has said that Gibson is having "one-on-one discussions" to find "the appropriate path for healing."

Today Nierob said that Gibson is "a man of his word."

He continues that his client "feels like he's more in control of his life."

Why is it that when a Hollywood star says something that he means but didn't want the public to know about he is suddenly an alcoholic, drug addict, needs therapy, etc. Own up, bitches.

Fox,

I sometimes wonder how many people there are who dream of being celebrities but hate celebrities because they're not celebrities themselves? Before passing judgement on a celebrity, perhaps these people should give some thought to: how scrutinised and analysed their lives would be if they were celebrities ... and what dirty laundry would come out of their suburban washing baskets ...

So many people are very quick to condemn Mel Gibson for drink-driving ... and conveniently ignore his life work and achievements... Perhaps they would do better to admit openly and honestly they are jealous and envious of him (and all celebs), and need to vent about their own miserable existence ...

Gibson completed NIDA (not an easy feat in i tself), his filmography as an actor and director speaks for itself, and he has credibility and runs on the board regarding his provider status as the husband of his wife and father of his children ...

If some of these judgemental nobodies were scrutinised for some of thier misdemeanours ... what would be on the other side of their achievement scales? Would they reconsider their definition of balanced perspective?

I'd rather watch Mad Max on DVD than flick through most suburban photo albums ...

Tall Poppy Syndrome I say ...
