Heath Ledger, 28, is dead. The Brokeback Mountain star was found dead in his apartment on Broome Street in New York City's SoHo district. He was set to play the Joker in an upcoming movie about Batman. His housekeeper reported to hear him sleeping around 12:30 EST but when his massage therapist came around 3:20 his door wouldn't open. The housekeeper and the massage therapist broke down the door and found a naked Ledger face-down on the floor with sleeping pills around him.


He split with Michelle Williams in September. The duo have a 2-year-old daughter, Matilda Rose.
