Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith on Grey's Anatomy, is engaged.


"Ellen Pompeo, 37, and her boyfriend of nearly three years, Chris Ivery, are engaged, Pompeo's rep confirms to Us Weekly. Ivery proposed on Friday -- which was also the actress' birthday -- with a 3.5-carat emerald-cut diamond and platinum ring by Tacori.

Pompeo plays Meredith Grey on the hit ABC medical dramedy Grey’s Anatomy. She has also starred in Old School and Moonlight Mile. Ivery, 38, is a music producer."

Eww, this guy looks like Rue Paul-- congrats on marrying a drag queen, Ellen.
